According to “Forbes,” Penguin Random House US is one of America’s Best Midsize Employers. The publishing group was ranked second in the business magazine’s annual survey. CEO Madeline McIntosh said she was delighted with this recognition of the company’s culture.

Good news for Penguin Random House: the U.S. business magazine “Forbes” has ranked the publishing group second in its annual list of America’s Best Midsize Employers. In conjunction with last year’s first-place ranking, the placement was “an impressive double success,” Penguin Random House said, adding that the “Forbes” ranking is based on an independent survey that takes into account both employees’ opinions of their company and the company’s reputation among other employees in the industry. On behalf of “Forbes,” the market research company Statista surveyed around 30,000 Americans working for companies with at least 1,000 employees. On a scale of zero to ten, respondents were asked to rate how likely they’d be to recommend their employer to others. The complete list of America’s Best Midsize Employers is available on this website.

Madeline McIntosh, CEO von Penguin Random House U.S., commented on the happy result: “We can be really proud that Forbes once again recognizes that Penguin Random House U.S. is a family of colleagues who not only passionately believe in the future of books and reading, but also care as deeply about each other,” said Madeline McIntosh, CEO, Penguin Random House U.S. “All of us together are part of a company that is a welcoming home to the authors of great books and to the talented and dedicated employees who support their creativity. It is so gratifying and humbling to know that our corporate culture continues to make a difference.”
