Gruner + Jahr has launched the sustainability magazine, “Brigitte Be Green” as a line extension to the magazine “Brigitte.” The new magazine appears twice a year and shows readers how the new environmental awareness can be reconciled with their own lifestyles.

Gruner + Jahr has launched “Brigitte Be Green” as a sustainability-focused line extension to “Brigitte” magazine. The first edition’s cover model is the well-known influencer and environmental activist Madeleine Daria Alizadeh alias “DariaDaria.” Gruner + Jahr says the new magazine is a response to “society’s need for more information, inspiration, and simple tips on topics such as plastic-free shopping, fair fashion, microplastics, sustainable cooking, and travel.” It says “Brigitte Be Green” will show readers how the new ecological awareness can be reconciled with their own lifestyle. The magazine is intended for people “who already live sustainably as well as those looking to take the first steps – without moralizing.”

‘Greenfluencers’ have their say

“Brigitte Be Green” provides tips, fascinating interviews and reports, and insights into leading a sustainable everyday life with all its challenges. Besides an interview with “DariaDaria,” the magazine contains an exclusive essay by activist Luisa Neubauer on “Fridays for Future” – and what she believes governments and business should do. In addition, there are categories such as “Ökoduell” (Eco-Duel), which explains which purchases are in fact “greener.” “Brigitte Be Green” is published at a cover price of €5.90 with a print run of 120,000 copies and two editions per year. The second issue will be published on March 25, 2020.
