Around 500 fans of the RTL series “Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten” registered with the German Bone Marrow Donor Center DKMS during a registration campaign in Potsdam. The registration campaign was organized by RTL, Filmpark Babelsberg and UFA Serial Drama together with “GZSZ” actors.

With plenty of commitment, RTL, Filmpark Babelsberg, and UFA Serial Drama together with the actors of the RTL TV series “Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten (GZSZ)” organized a German Bone Marrow Donor Center DKMS registration campaign for fans willing to support the cause. Last Sunday, around 500 people followed the call under the motto “GZSZ wants to save lives!” and registered at Filmpark Babelsberg’s Metropolis Hall in Potsdam. They will soon be available in the international database as donors for blood cancer patients. Many actors actively assisted on site, including Chryssanthi Kavazi, Iris Mareike Steen, Anne Menden, Timur Ülker, Ulrike Frank, Nils Schulz, Felix von Jascheroff, Gisa Zach, Thaddäus Meilinger, Maria Wedig, Niklas Osterloh, and Patrick Heinrich.

The online feedback was also huge: more than 4,600 “GZSZ” fans from across Germany ordered a swab kit in order to be added to the DKMS donor database. DKMS is an international nonprofit organization committed to combatting life-threatening blood cancer diseases. DKMS is active in Germany, the US, Poland, the UK, Chile, and India. In total, around nine million potential lifesavers are registered in the database. More information is available at www.dkms.de.
