Money for Scientific Research

The Télévie is a charity campaign in Belgium’s French speaking region and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg with the goal to raise money for the research fund F.R.S.-FNRS. The donated money goes to scientific research on combating cancer. Every year, the Télévie ends with a gala broadcast live on television.

The Télévie charity campaign has been organized since 1989 by the Belgian TV channel RTL-TVI. Since 2002, along with RTL-TVI, RTL Télé Lëtzebuerg has been a media partner of the campaign and also organizes a big gala. In 2012, the Kiwanis Foundation Luxembourg and the nonprofit association Télévie Luxembourg signed a partnership agreement. Since the first Télévie in Luxembourg, a total of €19,541,850 has been raised in the Grand Duchy for the good cause.
