The French RTL Group subsidiary Groupe M6 has awarded the winners of the “#RTLChallenge Journalisme Numérique” competition. It addresses students of journalism with the best contributions in and about digital journalism. This year’s winners are Esther Serrajordia and Paul Turban.

The French TV channels and radio stations of RTL Group organized the fifth edition of the “#RTLChallenge Journalisme Numérique” competition for young journalists. This year’s winners of the prize are Esther Serrajorida from the IFP and Paul Turban from the Ecole de Journalisme de Sciences Po. Jacques Esnous, RTL Radio France Information Director, Antoine Daccord, RTL Radio France and M6 Digital Information Director, and Jean-Alphonese Richard, Head of RTL Radio France’s Police-Justice Department and President of the Panel, presented the awards last Tuesday. The winners will join the RTL.fr digital editorial team this summer for one year on a work-study contract.

Each candidate had to submit a digital content text enriched with a multimedia element (audio, video, computer graphics, etc.) around a randomly selected topic. The editorial line and publishing charter of RTL.fr had to be observed. The topics of this year’s “#RTLChallenge Journalisme Numérique” competition were the world of boxing, the “yellow vests”, the Senate vs. the Elysée, and “smombies”.
