RTL Hungary Awarded The Title ‘Office Building of the Year’

Since July 2024, RTL Hungary has been operating from two bases in Budapest: RTL Studios, where large-scale productions continue to take place, and RTL Liget, located in the heart of Budapest, which hosts the company’s corporate functions as well as a news studio. At one of the most prestigious events in the Hungarian real estate industry, RTL Liget was named “Office Building of the Year 2024” based on the decision of an independent professional jury. This award not only showcases RTL Liget’s impressive design but also acknowledges its importance as a symbol of modernity and sustainability in Hungary’s real estate market. Before RTL Hungary moved in, the building, partially protected as a monument, underwent significant upgrades to create a modern and inspiring workspace. The new building consists of two main units: a five-storey office building hosting the company’s corporate functions and an auditorium with a modern newsroom, including a state-of-the-art news studio. Both units bear the characteristics of 1950s modernist architecture, which was preserved during the development, while integrating the most advanced technological solutions. Environmental consciousness also played a key role in the redesign of the building. Since the renovation, the complex fully operates on green electricity. During the renovation of the nearly 75-year-old building, the entire heating and cooling system was equipped with modern heat pump technology.
