Country Superstar Jason Aldean Stays Loyal To BMG

BMG has countered press reports that the music artist’s song catalog has been bought up by an investment fund. Aldean’s tenth album will be released by BMG as planned on April 22.

Jason Aldean, a superstar of country music, a genre that is popular not only in the U.S., will stay loyal to BMG. The Bertelsmann music company has confirmed that their long-term recording contract with Aldean will run until at least 2030, countering recent press reports suggesting that the music artist’s song catalog had been bought up by an investment fund. In this connection, BMG also reaffirmed the April 22 date for the release of Aldean’s new album “Macon, Georgia” via the BMG-owned record label Broken Bow Records. According to BMG, his next three albums will also be released under the label.

‚A little premature’

BMG Nashville President Jon Loba said: “We understand Spirit’s enthusiasm, but they are a little premature. We congratulate Jason on his deal and look forward to continuing to work with him exactly as we have for the past 18 years.”

On February 23, Jason Aldean had received the Country Radio Broadcasters 2022 Artist Humanitarian Award for his charitable efforts. Officials noted his dedication to helping Red Cross, ACM Lifting Lives, and other organizations throughout his career.

“Macon, Georgia” is Jason Aldean’s tenth studio album, and a very special one at that. With a planned lineup of 30 songs, it is a tribute to his hometown and home state. Since November 12, 2021, fans have initially had access to nine all-new songs and five live recordings. More songs have gradually been added, before all 30 tracks – twenty new ones and ten previously unreleased recordings of his concerts – will be available in April. The album release is slated to be accompanied by a three-piece vinyl box set. Jason Aldean’s latest single, “Trouble With A Heartbreak,” was written by Kurt Allison, Brett Beavers, Tully Kennedy, and John Morgan and follows Aldean’s 26th career chart-topper and multi-week number-one hit “If I Didn’t Love You” with Carrie Underwood.
