A New Home For RTL’s Audio Units In Berlin
The newly opened “RTL Audio Center Berlin” is Europe’s most state-of-the-art audio production center and the new home of RTL Radio Deutschland’s audio units in Berlin. The radio stations 104.6 RTL, 105’5 Spreeradio, 93.6 Jam FM and RTL Germany’s Hitradio, the Audio Alliance, as well as RTL Audio Marketing, Digital Media Hub, and RTL Radio Deutschland all work under one roof at the new site.
TRTL Radio Deutschland’s audio units in Berlin have found a new, shared home in the German capital. Europe’s most cutting-edge audio production center, the “RTL Audio Center Berlin,” recently went into operation, and now a completely new kind of audio cosmos is being created under a shared roof: State-of-the-art technology, studios, and broadcast facilities allow for audio productions at the highest level. The consolidation of all RTL Radio Deutschland’s Berlin audio units and the interlinking of their production facilities will also promote innovation, simplify processes, and increase quality, according to a statement from our colleagues in Berlin.
‘Rethink audio production’
The “RTL Audio Center Berlin” houses the four high-reach radio stations 104.6 RTL, 105’5 Spreeradio, 93.6 Jam FM, and RTL Deutschlands Hitradio. Audio Alliance, the production company that produces the podcasts and audio-on-demand offerings of Bertelsmann’s six Content Alliance partners Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland, UFA, RTL Radio Deutschland, Penguin Random House Verlagsgruppe, Gruner + Jahr, and BMG and makes them available on the associated Audio Now platform, will also find a new home there. The new audio environment is completed by RTL Audio Marketing, the Digital Media Hub, and RTL Radio Deutschland. “The idea was to completely rethink radio and audio production and to design a ‘new work’ space for employees where they feel comfortable around the clock and that gives them maximum flexibility,” says Marc Haberland, CEO of RTL Audio Center Berlin. As part of the company’s expansion, the management of RTL Audio Center Berlin GmbH (formerly RTL Radio Center Berlin GmbH) is also being restructured.
