Bernd Leukert Appointed to Supervisory Board of Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA

Bernd Leukert (49), the Executive Board member responsible for products and innovation at SAP, was appointed to the Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA Supervisory Board  with immediate effect. The international media, services, and education company is thereby adding further digital expertise to its Supervisory Board and reinforcing the important field of innovation. At SAP, Bernd Leukert has global responsibility for the development and delivery of all products, for strategic innovation initiatives, as well as the subject areas of user experience and design. Leukert is also a member of the Supervisory Board of the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz, DFKI) and of the Market Strategy Board of the International Electrotechnical Commission, and sits on the steering committee for the German government’s Industrie 4.0 initiative.

Bertelsmann Supervisory Board Chairman Christoph Mohn said: “I very much look forward to working with Bernd Leukert on the Supervisory Board.
