Bertelsmann to Remain Strategic Shareholder in Majorel After Private Placement

  • Majorel continues to be part of Bertelsmann's Global Services
  • Majorel to keep growing in the future – organically and through M&A

Gütersloh, September 07, 2021 – The globally active customer experience company Majorel today announced its intention to launch a private placement and list its shares on the regulated market of Euronext Amsterdam in the second half of 2021. Majorel is currently a venture between Bertelsmann and the Saham Group.

Bertelsmann Chairman & CEO Thomas Rabe said: “Majorel has delivered a dynamic performance since its establishment in 2019. In the first half of 2021 alone, Majorel’s accelerating growth momentum in terms of net revenues has increased to 35%. After the offering, Bertelsmann will remain a strategic shareholder in Majorel, alongside Saham. Majorel will thus remain an integral part of our Global Services, which we will continue to grow both organically and through M&A.”

In 2018, Bertelsmann and the Morocco based Saham Group had announced the merger of their global customer experience (CX) businesses. The newly formed company has operated under the name Majorel since the beginning of 2019. It has operations in 31 countries across five continents and employs more than 63,000 people. Majorel provides highly specialized CX services to more than 400 customers worldwide, including several global tech corporations.
