Eight Nominations For The 2024 German Audiobook Awards
Seven audiobooks produced by Penguin Random House Verlagsgruppe imprints and a podcast from RTL Deutschland are finalists for the 2024 German Audiobook Award: three titles from Audio Verlag, three titles from Hörverlag, one title from Random House Audio and one podcast from Audio Alliance. This year’s winners of the prestigious award will be announced on March 5.
The audiobook publishers of Penguin Random House Verlagsgruppe and RTL Deutschland account for eight of the 21 finalists for the 2024 German Audiobook Awards, which are awarded in seven categories. The publishers’ hopes are highest for “Best Audio Play” and “Best Performer,” with two out of three nominations in each of these categories. Three titles from Audio Verlag, three titles from Hörverlag, one title from Random House Audio and one podcast from Audio Alliance are now in the final round of the prestigious award. Publishers had submitted a total of 329 productions for this year’s award; these were evaluated by the audiobook prize’s jury of experts. The winner of the 2024 German Audiobook Award will be announced in a live radio show on March 5.
