‘Power Up’: AC/DC Set A New Record

“Power Up”, the new album by the Australian hard rock band AC/DC, has made it to the top of the charts in many countries around the world, much to the delight of the music company BMG, which represents the band’s publishing worldwide. “Power Up” is Number One in the US, UK and Germany, among others.

The hard rock band AC/DC tops the albums charts around the world with their new album “Power Up”, and the colleagues at BMG are absolutely delighted since the Australian band are BMG publishing clients. “Power Up” is currently Number One in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Germany, France, Belgium, Ireland, Italy, Norway and Sweden. At the same time, it is the band’s sixth Number One album in their homeland of Australia, and they are the only Australian group to have Number One albums in each of the past five decades. The new album is AC/DC’s sixteenth international studio album, and it is a tribute to Malcom Young, the band’s guitarist and songwriter, who passed away in 2017. The Group sister company Sonopress also benefits from the album’s success: over the past several weeks, it has produced several hundred thousand copies of “Power Up” for Sony Music.
