World Premiere For Second Season Of UFA Fiction’s ‘Maxton Hall’
2,600 guests and cast members attended the Berlin premiere of the hit Prime Video series.
The hit series “Maxton Hall – The World Between Us,” produced by UFA Fiction, celebrated the world premiere of its second season in Berlin. Alongside the cast and production team, more than 2,600 guests gathered at the Tempodrom last Friday evening to enjoy an exclusive preview screening of the first two episodes. Lead actors Harriet Herbig-Matten and Damian Hardung, as well as fellow cast members Sonja Weißer, Andrea Guo, and Runa Greiner, took time to meet fans beforehand, signing autographs and posing for photos. They were later joined on the Blue Carpet by director Martin Schreier; Christoph Schneider, Philip Pratt, Petra Hengge, and Julia Nisslein of Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios; and Sascha Schwingel, Markus Brunnemann, Ceylan Yildirim, and Valentin Debler of UFA Fiction.
The venue offered an impressive, immersive experience that drew visitors directly into the world of “Maxton Hall.” Viewers at home were part of the evening as well: the event was streamed live worldwide, hosted by Melissa Khalaj and Laura Larsson. Bertelsmann’s social media team was on site, interviewing the lead actors and UFA producer Markus Brunnemann. Exclusive impressions and interviews from the premiere are available on Instagram at “@bertelsmann_erleben”.
Global success for a German original
“Maxton Hall – The World Between Us” is produced by UFA Fiction as a German Original for Prime Video and is based on Mona Kasten’s bestselling novel series. The new season is based on the novel “Save You,” the second part of the bestselling trilogy. It continues the story of Ruby Bell, an ambitious scholarship student at an elite boarding school, who crosses paths with the wealthy and arrogant James Beaufort. An intense relationship develops between them, full of secrets, power plays, and class divides.
Highly emotional sequel
The first season of the UFA Fiction series was the most successful international original in Prime Video’s history. It reached No. 1 on Prime Video charts in more than 120 countries and regions. Following this international success, expectations among fans are understandably high. “After the huge success of the first season, we felt positive pressure to make the second one even better — for our large audience,” said producer and UFA CEO Markus Brunnemann. “This second part tells the wonderful, spectacular middle chapter of the story — a warm, highly emotional roller coaster with incredibly likable characters and a moving love story.”
Starting November 7, the second season will be available worldwide and exclusively on Prime Video. The first three episodes of the six-part season will be released on the premiere date, followed by one new episode each week, leading up to the grand finale on November 28.
