Preventative Health Measures
Bertelsmann gives particular priority to the health and safety of guests at its premises in the German capital. With this in mind, a hygiene concept was developed that is dynamically adapted to all the latest developments and requirements.
The building’s extremely flexible facilities have proved particularly advantageous; for example, the furnishings in virtually all rooms can be changed around. Even the size of the rooms themselves are often variable. The space requirements can be adjusted at any time according to the latest specifications, ensuring sufficient space and – if necessary – distancing for all participants at all times.
Purchases such as a UVC disinfection unit for disinfecting microphones, transparent partition walls, disinfectant dispensers, terminals for scanning the CovPass app, etc. provide the best possible protection against infection when holding events. In addition, the presence of all employees and visitors is documented daily. The high standard of hygiene is also maintained in catering; the buffets have protective Plexiglas shields, and food is served exclusively by trained catering staff. The buffets are protected by plexiglass, and food is served exclusively by trained catering staff who, like all other employees, wear masks and disposable gloves depending on the activity.
Since November 15, 2021, the Berlin Senate has decreed that access to venues such as restaurants, bars, theatres, cinemas and event premises, including Bertelsmann Unter den Linden, is granted only to individuals who have been vaccinated against or recovered from Covid (so called VR - vaccinated/recovery-rule or 2G in German). Proof of vaccination and recovery must be digitally verifiable – for example, using the Federal Government’s Corona Warn app or the Robert Koch Institute’s CovPass app or via printed QR code. Visitors are required to have their digital certificate scanned upon entry.
Further detailed information can be found in the hygiene concept, which is available for download on the right-hand side of this page.
