The History Room of the Bertelsmann and Mohn Families
With more than 110,000 employees in some 50 countries, Bertelsmann today is an internationally active media, services, band education company. Bertelsmann's nucleus, however, was a Protestant publishing house dedicated entirely to the program of the East Westphalian Awakening movement. The History Room at the Corporate Center in Gütersloh helps to render this milieu tangible. It was inaugurated in 1976, when the Group moved into its newly built headquarters.
