Territory Embrace, a specialist in employer branding, recruiting, and HR marketing, was honored at the “Human Resources Excellence Awards” in the “HR Innovation of the Year” category for organizing the recruiting event “#RC18”. In an eight-minute live presentation, representatives of the unit, which belongs to the Gruner + Jahr subsidiary Territory, was able to convince the specialist jury and came out on top of three competitors. Gero Hesse, Managing Director of Territory Embrace, and Stefan Wagner, Head of Client Services & Consulting, accepted the award for “Innovation of the Year” last Friday evening in Berlin.

The “Human Resources Excellence Awards” are among the most prestigious human resources industry awards. It provides a platform for participants to present their projects and campaigns and to make a contribution to the future of HR work through innovation and creativity. This year, outstanding HR innovations and projects with future potential were awarded in a total of 39 categories.

Event With a Focus On Interactivity And Exchange

The “Recruiting Convent”, with which Territory Embrace entered the competition, took place from June 7 to 8. The HR event was organized by Territory Embrace for the first time and carried the motto “Innovate & Survive” – and, appropriately, with several innovations: the renaming to “#RC”, a venue with an industrial flair, an agenda that invited active participation, and with celebrities on stage. With the “#RC18”, Territory Embrace focused on interactivity and exchange. Current HR topics including robot recruiting and the future of work were discussed, among other things. For the first time, the “#RC” print magazine was published in cooperation with the G+J magazine “Business Punk”and handed out to attendees.

“The success at the ‘HR Excellence Awards’ shows that the new edition of the ‘Recruiting Convent’ was a success. With the ‘#RC18’ we managed to fascinate the employer branding and recruiting community – and that’s great motivation for next year,” Gero Hesse said.

Territory Embrace and co-organizer Queb as well as the partner Stepstone are planning to build on this success: Next year, this year’s event will become the “#RC19 Festival” around employer branding, HR marketing and recruiting.
