€60,000 for cancer research – this is the result of this year’s edition of the “Télévie Challenge” at “RTL City”, the Luxembourg headquarters of RTL Group. 23 teams of colleagues and public figures and partners last Friday, March 13, from 12:00 to 19:00, got on spinning bikes to collect as many kilometers as possible for the good cause. “Télévie Challenge” was able to mark a double milestone with the 20th challenge and the celebration of 25 years of Télévie in Luxembourg. The teams took turns on the spinning bikes, showing incredible energy and commitment in support of cancer research. By the end of the challenge, the teams had collectively covered 4,295 kilometers on the bikes, resulting in a final sum of €60,000 donated by RTL Group for “Télévie”. Seven sports coaches were present throughout the day to motivate and guide the participants.
The event also welcomed several Luxembourgish politicians, artists and athletes, whose presence further highlighted the importance of “Télévie” and the collective commitment to the cause. Among the participants were Björn Bauer, CFO of RTL Group, Christophe Goossens, CEO of RTL Luxembourg and BCE, alongside the Luxembourgish politicians Max Hahn and Martine Hansen, and the winner of the Luxembourg Song Contest, Eva Marija. Christophe Goossens, CEO of RTL Luxembourg and BCE, said: “The 20th edition of the ‘Télévie Challenge’ is a powerful reminder of what we can achieve together. Beyond the fundraising, it reflects our collective commitment to supporting cancer research and making a positive impact. We are proud to see colleagues across RTL once again coming together for this important cause. Supporting ‘Télévie’ has become a meaningful tradition for us, and we are proud to contribute again this year.” Diane Wunsch, Télévie coordinator in Luxembourg, said: “This edition of the ‘Télévie Challenge’ was a truly powerful experience. Seeing so many people come together with such energy and solidarity to support cancer research was genuinely inspiring. I would like to sincerely thank everyone for this remarkable outpouring of solidarity.”
