Penguin Aula, the educational platform of the Spanish publishing group Penguin Random House Grupo Editorial (PRHGE), is launching the initiative “Una semana con Eloy Moreno” (“A Week with Eloy Moreno”). It is set to be one of the largest digital meetings between an author and primary and secondary school students ever held in Spain. From today through Thursday, more than 30,000 students from across the country will take part in live sessions with the renowned PRHGE author from their classrooms.
More than 600 schools taking part
Eloy Moreno, author of works like “Invisible” (adapted by Disney+) and “Tierra,” has established himself as one of Spain’s most widely read authors among young readers, with stories that connect directly with their emotions and experiences. Over four days, more than 600 Spanish educational institutions will spend one hour of the school day speaking with the author about his bestsellers, including “Invisible,” “Cuentos para entender el mundo,” “Redes,” “Tierra,” and “El Regalo.” Students will gain insights into the creative process, character development, and the themes that run through Moreno’s work.
Visit to IES 4 de Junio in Cañete
The program concludes on May 15 with a special day at the IES 4 de Junio in Cañete (Cuenca), which won a video clip competition organized by Penguin Aula last year and inspired by Moreno’s bestseller “Invisible.” Eloy Moreno will visit the school in person to engage with students. The band Siloé will join virtually and has contributed the title song to the Disney+ series adaptation. As part of the initiative, Penguin Random House Grupo Editorial will donate more than 80 books to the school library.
