“Geolino”, the knowledge magazine for children, which is part of RTL Deutschland, has announced three special issues for its young readers ahead of the Bundestag election in Germany on February 23. The motto of the special editions is “Bundestag elections simply explained”. They present the topic of elections in a creative and easy-to-understand way for children, as “Geolino” announced. The issue published on January 21 includes seven pages of information about the importance and the course of the Bundestag election. The magazine also introduces the parties and their leading candidates in a playful way. Vivid illustrations aim to help children understand complex contexts. The second special issue will come to stores on February 18 and offer more facts about the Bundestag election. On February 20, the issue of “Stern” magazine will include a “Geolino” handbook on the Bundestag election. On 16 pages, it will answer questions such as: “Why are we voting now?” or “How and who is Germany voting for?” After the election, a special issue is planned with the title “Buntes Deutschland” and a focus on the results of the election, aiming to explain the results and their social consequences to children. The “Geolino” campaign is accompanied with cross-media activities. Children are offered exciting content online, encouraging them to think and have their say. “Geolino” will also publish two special podcast episodes titled “Wahlen und Demokratie” and “Buntes Deutschland”, which deal with the themes elections and democracy and the colorful diversity of Germany.
