The TV hit show “Ich bin ein Star – Holt mich hier raus!” will return to RTL with a brand-new season on January 19. And there is reason to celebrate: 20 years ago, the first season aired in Germany. Since then, several celebrities, including Costa Cordalis, Désirée Nick and, most recently, Djamila Rowe won the title of Jungle Queen or King. Who will conquer the hearts of viewers this time around? The 12 contestants have already been chosen.
Again, the celebrities will move into the Australian jungle to fight for the coveted title of Jungle Queen or King. However, it will not be an easy undertaking since highly diverse challenges and trials are coming their way. In the camp, they have to master daily life far away from luxury, friends and family. Which of them will endure the burdens and conquer the hearts of TV viewers in the 17 daily live shows? The show, which received a German Television Award in 2023, will again be hosted by Sonja Zietlow and jungle expert Jan Köppen. Dr. Bob will again prepare the celebrities for the trials.

“Ich bin ein Star – Holt mich hier raus!” will launch on January 19 at 8:15 p.m. on RTL. Fans of the show can look forward to a three-hour live show during primetime on the first jungle day, followed by two hours of jungle fun on Saturday, January 20, at 8:15 p.m. On the first and second Sunday in the jungle, the “IBES” campers in Australia will also appear live during primetime at 8:15 p.m. The big final of “Ich bin ein Star – Holt mich hier raus!” will air on Sunday, February 4, at 10:15 p.m. The big reunion of all celebrities will take place the night after the final starting at 8:15 p.m. on RTL.
After each show, Olivia Jones and Angela Finger-Erben will present “Ich bin ein Star – Holt mich hier raus! Die Stunde danach” live from Cologne. During the jungle talk, the hosts will discuss the jungle adventure with their guests and welcome former contestants, family members and celebrity fans. All episodes of “Ich bin ein Star – Holt mich hier raus!” and “Ich bin ein Star – Holt mich hier raus! Die Stunde danach” will be available as live streams and catch-up TV on RTL+.
